While there aren't any places to stay within walking distance of the Presidio, there are tons of places to stay in San Francisco and the surrounding area, and they run the gamut of cost, styles, and locations. Group rates are available at two hotels listed below.
The closest neighborhoods are Cow Hollow and the Marina (approximately one mile from the wedding site); just a little further out are Fisherman's Wharf to the east and Pacific Heights to the south. Downtown San Francisco is farther away but has a lot of great hotels, and is closer to the BART stations, which may be more convenient if you will be using the BART train to the SFO airport.
Be sure to check out Tripadvisor, in which travellers rate various hotels. It 's quite comprehensive, and can give you a good idea of what the different hotels are like.

Our favorite! Located right by Fisherman's Wharf and next to Ghiradelli Square in a historic building, with really nice rooms and a friendly staff, this is one of the best hotels in San Francisco. The bride's family will be living it up here for the eve of the festivities.
